Every Dog has his day

Dont be surprised with the title......... I always considered myself an underdog........their is something about the umpteenth underdog movies which attracted me towards them ....may be I was able to relate to them...... though I enjoyed the fairytale endings.....but never believed them

During the first week of Sept my underdog story took a positive turn ......my back paper got cleared ....was among the 4 people out of 30 . Kale's recruitment drive gave me a lot of motivation...but it was short lived ....as they said they'll shortlist according to marks.......and my rape by Nagpur university is public knowledge......and it came back to haunt me.

But in a couple of days things dramatically turned around....... I sat for the GD/PI ...out of 70 I was among 3 who got selected......from that time on its party time.... I hope god willing I keep performing and the party continues......Amen !!

The independence week

I can call this week a no class week , getting up late and going to the college only in the second half has become like a trend for me.... saw a lot of movies atleast five . I was planning to watch Peepli Live but no body was game for it.

Couple of nondescript companies are interested in our profiles , in desperation applied for one but withdrew on second thoughts . Went to a new dhaba called bhajansingh da dhaba saw a mix breed of a dalmatian and a great dane .

The independence day was punctuated by a late night scuffle , the police came but things cooled of in time . Also witnessed the first ego clash @ our place was trying to play the pacifiers role . Dont know whether am successful or not .

In the evening met riyu after a long time , also got the news of dada planning to visit town in end sept , looking forward to it .

That why they say life is a circle

On the friendship day evening a very strange thing happened . First things first the Sunday was completely marred because of an early morning class followed by a worthless interview training session for 8 hours .

In the evening went for a joy ride in the rains , was a lot of fun , had to return early cause of nature's call .

Then I did a thing against the flow smsed people friendship messages . The list included a certain Lady called Ms. Moumita Dey , with whom i had parted ways a couple of months back .

I got a friendship request on FB v quickly , as quickly the my name was removed from the friend's request .

Things started happening and we ended up chatting , even going to the extent of doing video chat 4 the first time .

I am following the classical marketing professional funda of expanding your network as far as possible , who knows who might be of some help some time or the other .

The real intent is to show the way Iam without i.e. I am happy , this would subtly impress on her that the decision she took was absolutely long .

Would keep things posted for a spicy read later .

Cheers !!

Yet another comeback !!

Its been more than 3 months i have returned. Content was never a restraint because my life is like the stock market index.

The exams were about to start , it went off horribly and I just hope its not a disaster , God need your blessings more than any other time .

My after exam life in Pune was like the happier version of devdas with drinks galore . The first week of vacation went of smoothly , moved around quite a bit. Then a certain thing happened which changed my outlook towards any relations.

My relation with moumita was concluded for good , and we parted ways . At this point of time I think this has been the best thing which could have happened . Now I want to concentrate on my career , lovelife can take a backseat , would go ahead full steam to enjoy my life .

After vacation was mostly consumed with world cup viewing , in the meantime we went on a lot of night rides and outings .my hayabusa took me to distant hill stations which catapulted it to a icon status .

I got selected in the placement cell , lot of responsibilities , I must say ,hope to get a good placement for myself and the batch .

hope I"ll keep writing , its the easiest way to connect to my innerself ,and clear up the clutter.

Long Time No See !!

As I see the RR vs KKR match and write the title of this blog looks very apt ,with the MBA kinda workload i did not have any d illusion that I am not doing one .

Hence I wanted to write only after the madness got over . So here I am , done with all kind of internal assessment . In the past one month I was able be to understand and put in place a way to enjoy even when your life got screwed up with shit loads of work keeping me sane .

I dearly wanted KKR to feature in the semis at least , but I am part of the passionate crowd who could not motivate them enough to even qualify for one .

On the personal front I feel being a student away from where your gal stays is not a very good position to be in .

In the next 10 days I would face one of the most crucial exams wrt to my career . I still cant understand why exams are so important to decide one's career . May be a lot of people would counter and say it is to weed out lazy bumps like you . I have a message for them , whatever be my results , I would always be a winner in race of "Life".

Cheers !!

Year Ending March Starts....

Its been long that Iam away from picking up my pen in the virtual world . We went to Anand Valley as usual on a bus singing hoarsely all the way long . I thought it to be those dream resorts where u get a wonderful blue swimming pool.

But to my disappointment , I found out it to be another resort which is coming up. on reaching the place we had what the marathis call breakfast , after that went on a trail up a small hill . once we came back we played some team bonding games , which were silly but at least its better than doing nothing. Helped my team coming first in Tug of War . After all that went for gulab jamun eating competion where I stood third eating 30 pieces in 2.5 mins . Then the real fun began with the rain dance and the Holi celebration , i danced there for at least 2 hours.

After joing back college after sleeping all day long on holi , where in the evening went out to play pool and did chutput stuff which i enjoyed a lot. The college creamed us with umpteenth tests assignments , class tests and presentations. Even the Hot Brains in our class finding it difficult to cope up .

Keeping a positive outlook gets you through all this situations .In the meantime found some time to indulge in playing knights & merchants and saw a cuppa movies . Hopefully all the ppts and assignments give me the returns worth my efforts .
Amen !!

Cheers

Silence After the Storm

The past 3 weeks changed my life completely . Suddenly people in the college recognized me . I got the confidence back , i.e. i can also do some thing big . After so much activity going back to such boring classes was a pain in the ass to say the least .

The cherry on the topping was the fact , that so many tests were lined , &I had no clue about what those subjects were all about. Somehow managed them . I also discovered the effectiveness of group studies . Though late in life , but I realized it . in the past had a lotta ol, monkie which kept me in high spirits.

one day had a long heart to heart chat with mou about a lotta things .This weekend i am going to anand valley resort which is one and a half hour drive from our college , its an after party to Manthan.

Hopefully the next month would keep me happily busy

cheers

Manthan 2

A new day with renewed hopes of an exciting day . Today we had the most exciting event called El-Do-Ra-Do(Treasure Hunt) presented by Spykar. 13 teams fought for it . They had to solve difficult clues & go all around Pune to find the next one & two joint runner ups after a lot of drama. But every one right from participants, volunteers & organizers had a gala time.
In the meantime we had “Piccaso Effect” & “Make your Mark” the poster competition and logo designing was going on where the participants creative talent was tested as the theme was Business Opportunities in India .

After a long day the whole Manthan Team got together to wind down . We enjoyed musical atmosphere which was created by our committee members.

Manthan 3

The day started with participants setting up their food stalls and other shops . We had people selling fruit salads , making tattoos, and selling cosmetic jewellery .
In the afternoon all the creative minds were showcasing their documentaries in ‘Chal Chitra’ out of which 3 were screened . Then the judge announced the eventual winner .

In the meantime the participating started trading stocks for “Bulls & Bears” a virtual stock market game trying to maximize their profits, so that they can win it at the end of the week.

We started with our NEN awareness drive, where people got chocolates for answering questions on the ongoing events, this event got a tremendous response from the students
Again in the evening volunteers got together for musical chairs & we had an awesome end to the day .

Manthan 4

Day 4 started with some interesting events lined up like “Lets Click” a photography event, 4Ps a marketing game , and “Think Hatke” a case study based event .

In the photography event briefing was done for all the participants and they are supposed to submit the hardcopies tomorrow.

In “4P’s’ the teams were given a task to sell as many subscription of Youth Eye Magazine as possible .As I write this article we are expecting the articles any moment .

‘Think –Hatke” had a case-study where they were asked to give a innovative solution to a fractious problem of a company , where the company is a renowned brand in the shoe polish market , but want to enter the lipstick market.

Manthan 5

The day had one of the most important event of our fest , the B-plan contest where five teams were shortlisted from all the entries received .
They were asked to present their plans to the judges , the fellow participants and the audience dissected their presentation to the basics to test their overall understanding . Ultimately we got one winner of intense 3 hours.
Meanwhile we had two other events “Seedhi Baat” and “Its all Yours” a panel discussion on infrastructure and an event management competition respectively , both the events had overwhelming participation , which was an indicator of its success .

Looking forward to another day.

Manthan 6

Most of the events on this day were pretty unique to say the least, Guru dakshina-here the participants had to go to different schools & colleges teach the students & earn money out of it

Then we had TurnCourt for faculty members and the students-here the students had to speak for a topic for sometime and then change his stance after a certain point of time. The faculty members participated in it with lot of enthusiasm.

We also had Work in 127.0.0.1 a website building game where the participants were asked to build the Arsh website .

In the meantime the NEN enlightment quiz was a hit among the students because they were getting chocolates for answering correctly .

Today we had our one of the most difficult operational event Let Them Know , where we had to coordinate with 60 students to make the citizen aware of the conservation of natural resources through asking questions of a questionnaire. This event was supported my PMC & Model Colony Parisar Sudharna Samiti .

Most of the citizen were happy to answer the questions and were appreciative of

Day @ KPO was our signature event as it has been never tried before in any completion . Here the real-time scenarios were provided to the participants and they had to convince the judge with a solution and in the second round they had to try to pitch a sales over the phone . most of the participants joined in because they wanted to experience the real-life situation in the outsourcing industry.

Prashant Pansare Managing Director of Inteliment a player in the Business Analytics field & Mr. Shri Deshpande CEO of Radiant Minds and IT consulting & training company .Mr Pansare gave an insightful presentation on entrepreneurship which I am sure would give all the audience member a better clarity towards the idea of entrepreneurship .

The D week !!!

What can i say about this week .... Started off on a very slow note with classes as usual... But on Wednesday morning while dressing up for college got a frantic call from sanjay , asking me to come asap , as the coordinator is giving away 1 st sem marksheet .I was completely taken aback with the kinda way the results were announced . My prayers achieved fever pitch , I was terrified to say the least . I just prayed for passing the exam .

A person who has gone through the agony of getting a couple of backs can relate to my situation . I just saw whether the GPA was mentioned or not , which indicated that the candidate has passed. The moment I realized that have passed it was unadulterated happiness which can be compared to person winning a Olympic gold .

After that it was back to classes again in the meantime had a heart to heart talk with mou about us our present , future together the kinda expectation we have of each other . I think these kinda things help us in our professional life as well , as you know alls well on the other end.

Got myself involved with a college event ... hopefully can get some mileage out of it.
All was fine until today when I sat for a presentation which I was not supposed to do for a course in Information security . The money is not the problem but time and my drive is....I am not sure whether I would be efficiently handle this extra topic so would be seeking advice , though personally felt that this course would provide with necessary skill set to make me a better marketable commodity to the industry.

cheers !!

This is what MBA is all about !!

The past week has given me the feel of doing a real MBA . Till now this course was like any other boring course...where people attend classes go through boring classes. In the name of MBA some silly presentations are thrown in . Is it what we really expect of a Master in Business Administration course. At least I dont.

The past week gave the experience of working in a team for a company...where staying back after college for getting the project work done, then staying up late with friends to do some more work... helping others with work. But most importantly I built upon my past experience about what group dynamics are all about. At the end we got a satisfactory response from our prof.

On a lighter note saw Pyaar Impossible , its a kinda movie which you should watch only if you have nothing else to do . But its USP was the oh so hot Priyanka Chopra with her sexy dressing and the her ultra hot legs amply visible coz of her micro minis. :P

Cheers !!

Year End Holidays-2/New Year

What a week it has been , concrete plans breaking down making new plans to make our new year's eve celebration as exciting as possible.

During the week we had classes the way i want them , mainly before the lunch....then ultimately we came up with the plan of celebrating it the way cash strapped students do , with cheap booze n food brought home with music and as I keep telling my friends going on a world tour sitting in the confines of our homes. I passed out because of heady cocktails .

We first soaked some new year's spirit after going to one of the oldest hangout places called Apache to enjoy beer and rock music.... then while walking towards our party place after packing food we came up with rave party revelers being picked up from various spots.

Dada n Rubbu gave me a pleasant surprise on different days and we had lunch together.

At the end of the week I made the waiters running around to bring the umpteenth sheeks of prawns @ Barbecue nation ...

In the meantime we were given a case study to develop a proposal for applying for a software project by our SPM professor . I got the costing work though I am helping out couple of people with some research which is required . Till next time have fun :D
